It’s highly likely that you have a drawer full of branded tees, either from your own company, or from your consistently last place golf tournament prizes. So it’s interesting to see a guy by the name of Jason Sadler call for these shirts.
His idea, IWearYourShirt.com, is a new spin on and maybe even an homage to some of the unconventional online advertising stunts of a few years past.
Essentially, he’s selling the advertising rights of his upper torso. You purchase any day of 2009, send him your company’s or website’s tee, he’ll wear it around town all day, even record a video and a few pics of it, and you receive a nice bit of momentary traffic.
The unique spin on this concept is it’s progressive pricing. January 1st is $1 and December 31st is $365. Quite the innovative way of acquiring a new wardrobe and a reasonable income.
I managed to grab April 4th for The Ad Feed (wish I had of jumped at this earlier), and am interested to see how many new readers it’s able to generate for this site. January, February, and March seem to have sold out in the first week.
If your company’s marketing budget is any more than the equivalent of a couple sandwich trays, secure a spot and you’ll have the opportunity to think of a creative way to describe it as an exemption on your taxes (pectoral purchase?).
